  2. What is the keyway size on the shaft?

    2. This compressor motor has a 3/16" wide keyway. It includes a key that's 1-3/8" long.

  3. can you confirm the shaft diameter? the manual says it is 7/8" dia. this seems quite large for a 5 hp motor.

    1. The shaft size is indeed 7/8's of an inch, this is not uncommon for 220v 5HP motors.

    1. Rotation is looking at the motor on the drive shaft end.

    2. The Ironton Compressor motor has a counterclockwise rotation. This is determined by looking directly at the shaft of the motor and seeing which direction it rotates.

    1. NO,what it says is what you get can't be wired for clock wise rotation,it would burn the winding out of it.

  10. bolt pattern

    Could you list the face bold pattern and what pump mounting hardware would work with this motor? I'm looking to connect a hydraulic pump but can't find the correct bracket.

    1. On this compressor motor it has 2 sets of bolt hole and they are as follows, the round holes are 5/16" in diameter and 5 1/2" apart side to side, from front hole to center hole it is 4" and to rear hole it is 5". The other holes are slots that are 5/16" x 1 3/16" and from front slot to center slot it is 3" and to rear slot it is 5" and they are also 5 1/2" apart side to side and all measurements are center of hole to center of hole.
