Product Summary

Unique Cut-n-Break method cuts in stages of 2 1/2in. deep with 9in. twin diamond blades, leaving a thin core that is easily broken off with included breaking tool. Cutting can continue until required depth is reached, up to 16in. Ideal for cutting window and door openings to avoid overcutting at corners. Great for cutting egress windows in basements. Also works for cutting pipes in trenches, grooves for cabling, expansion joints and crack chasing. Gas engine has Smart Carb™ to maintain high power and save fuel, Active Air Filtration™ to extend product life and service intervals, and dust-sealed starter to reduce downtime. Anti-vibration system makes saw more comfortable to use.

    1. The manufacturer does not recommend this product for cutting non ferrous metals. A handheld cutter is recommended for that application, see our item #20965.

  2. How wide apart is the blades ? Can you space them wider?

    1. The blades are 3/4 inches (19mm) apart. It would have two 9 inch blades. They cannot be spaced any farther apart.

  3. Can it be used to cut iron pipe? Or does it have an option on different blades that can be?

    1. The saw is not recommended to cut iron. The saw is designed for cutting concrete only.

    If there is, I'm also wondering if there are singles or doubles available

    1. There is an asphalt blade available for this cut-n-break power cutter. It is model number EL70A. It would be a double blade. Northern Tool does not sell this blade.

  5. do sell this cutter with blades to cut ductile iron pipe??

    1. The manufacturer carries other blades to cut concrete, but there are no blades specifically for use in cutting steel or iron pipes.
