  1. Are the aluminum blocks that mount to the trimmer shaft adjustable to accomodate slight variations in diameters of trimmer shafts (or other tools)?

    1. Yes they are...this rack design is very well thought out!

    2. Yes, a little adjustable. since there is a bolt on each side it is not a lot of adjustment, but there is some.

    3. hi there i have used this trimmer rack since april. the blocks are adjustable to the shaft. so once the front and back blocks are the right width onto the shaft all you have to is just tighten the 2 blocks down onto the shaft so that it will hold and lock into place.

    4. The aluminum blocks on the trimmer rack will work on all shafts except the pole saw shafts due to the larger diameter of those shafts.

  2. Do you have to lock the rack each time a trimmer is placed in the rack to prevent the top pivot lever from turning or can you use it without the lock?

    1. You can use it without having to use the lock... when you turn the top pivot it locks all three positions and to secure you then place your key in the lock.

    2. The Green Touch Trimmer Rack does not need to be locked each time but it is recommended.

  3. will this rack mount to a trailer with angle iron rails?

    1. Yes, I mounted mine to angle iron rails. My top rail is horizontally flat. The rack comes with great hardware.

    2. This Green Touch line trimmer rack can mount to a pole with a maximum diameter of 1 1/8".

  4. How do you place the line trimmer in rack?

    1. The rack comes with aluminum mounting blocks that you secure to the shaft of your trimmers. The one towards the trim head end has a mounting pin that slides into the one upright of the rack, then the other end, near the handle has another mounting block that slides into it's receptacle on the other rack upright. The click into place and can be left unlocked if you like, or you can twist the locking lever at the top to secure all racks and push the keyed lock closed to lock everything up secure.

    2. The locking end aluminum block should be mounted on the engine end of the line trimmer about 1/4" in front of the throttle assembly.
      The support end aluminum block should be mounted towards the cutting head of the line trimmer, it can be mounted with the spike facing towards the engine or towards the cutting edge.
      Bolt the aluminum blocks onto your trimmer shaft, leave the support side loose but tighten the locking side.
      Secure the line trimmer into the locking side rack, then slide the support side aluminum block into the funnel shaped receiver and tighten it into place.
