  2. how much reach?

    I know the front 2 wheels are adjustable but how far? Can the forks extend 18" beyond the front wheels to lift item off of a platform. Thank you for the response.

    1. No, you need to be able to slide the lift under something. Like a pick-up tailgate. However, when I can't do this. I just push it up to wall and align the height with the platform. I can then slide most objects, if they are not too heavy onto the lift.

    2. The normal position of the front wheels is 28" in front of the rear wheels. Moving them behind the end of the forks would risk causing the unit to tip forward.

    3. The wheels on the Genie Lift are not adjustable so that the forks would extend past the wheels.

  3. What do they mean by forks up v.s. forks down

    Can you still get the 400 lb lift capacity at 120"?

    1. The forks are "L" shaped and can be easily installed upside down for greater reach. The only weight restriction would be to make sure the floor is level and the center of gravity of the load stays vertically above the rectangle on the floor defined by the four wheels.

    2. It means that you can turn the forks upside down for the higher reach. At the standard setting you have a 99" lift. There is a pin that can be removed to turn them upside down and then you have a 120 1/2" reach. They would still have the same 400 pound capacity in either position.

  5. What is the open space between the forks? Is there an option to allow the forks to open wider? Can the forks and the platform be easily swapped out?

    1. In the widest position, the space between the forks is 12.5 inches. The forks and platform are easily swapped out.

    1. The Genie Lift can handle the max capacity 400 lb. weight at the max raised height of 120-1/2".

  9. Does this unit also allow for the Genie Lift Boom to be attached to it?

    1. The Genie lift will not accept the Genie lift boom to be attached to the unit. The Genie lift booms will only mount to a fork lift.
