any issues with cold weather starts, like 0-32 degrees ?

The unit will still start in the cold. For cold weather below 10 degrees it is recommended to change the oil to synthetic 5W-30 oil. Batteries can tend to lose cranking power if left in the cold.

We as the manufacturer test our units for a total harmonic distortion level that either falls short of, or exceeds 5%. Considering this, we do not provide specific total harmonic distortion ratings, as any rating exceeding 5% is not compatible with most sensitive electronics or appliances.

Can the 50 amp 240 volt receptacle be loaded with 50 amps and full wattage of the generator, or is the circuit breaker only rated to 30 amps?
-
ProductExpert19· 13 years ago
The maximum wattage that is potentially available from a particular outlet will be determined by the size breaker protecting that outlet, as well as the voltage rating of the outlet. The 50 amp 120/240 volt outlet on the XG10000E is protected by a 42 amp breaker. At the rated 240 volt output, the potentially available wattage from that outlet would not be able to exceed 10,080 watts.

Please note that the XG10000E is rated for a rated continuous output of 10,000 watts, and this rating is when utilizing any and all receptacles. In the event the full wattage is received from the 50 amp outlet, any items plugged into any other outlet can overload the generator. Damage to the unit due to overloading is not warrantable.
