    What would the electrical outlet have to be rated to power this welder. Obviously 220 but what amperage? Could I run it off a portable generator?

    1. The thinnest gauge steel you can weld with the Hobart Stickmate, Arc welder and stick welder is 16 gauge. You can use an appropriately sized extension cord.
