Product Summary

Constructed of heavy-gauge steel with tough, appliance-like finish. Replaceable air/water separator prevents corrosion and bacterial growth — in compliance with FDA regulations. Tank is factory pre-charged to 40 PSI.

Pre-charged tanks are rated to compare with equivalent-size conventional (standard) tanks in terms of water draw down between pump cycles. The actual physical size of a pre-charged tank is much less and allows space savings up to 50% when comparing draw-down and size to that of a conventional tank. Economy is achieved with the smaller size of pre-charged tanks compared to similar water delivery and size of conventional tanks. This tank has a rated size of 220 gallons; the actual tank capacity is 85 gallons. U.S.A.

  1. I am coming out of Hurricane Ida. Water was an issue. I want to know if I could place this in my water system, so I have water on hand if we loose water again?

    1. The pre charged storage tank is designed to be used for drawdown. Drawdown is the actual amount of usable water available from when the tank is full to when the pump turns back on. Adding additional tanks will increase the drawdown.

  5. Is this FP7130 the same as the 1995 model FP7130-02 ? The 1995 model has the flange and elbow expose uder the tank.

    1. The Flotec Water Tank FP7130 is essentially the same tank with the exception of the newer models come with a molded one piece flange as opposed to the older 1995 models which had a two piece flange.

  6. Usefull for plant watering?

    I'm looking for a tank that I can put in the bed of a utility vehicle for watering plants outdoors where water is otherwise inaccessible. Could I fill this with a hose, drive to a site, and have enough pressure to water plants when needed?

    1. This tank could not be used in that application. I might suggest a water tank such as item #156895 and run a hose from that the a 12 volt water pump such as #228771, then attach a garden hose to the pump to water your plants. You can connect this pump to a 12 volt battery to supply the power.
