  1. Care for charger when not needed.

    What is the best way to care for a ESP2M-FS charger when it is not needed. I have it to keep animals out of a small garden during the summer months. Should I take it inside for the winter? Should I turn the charger off and leave it outside? Should I take the battery out?

    1. It would be recommended to take the unit down, remove the battery and store where it would not get any light.

  2. Is the negative put into the ground or do I have to run extra wires on the fence?

    1. This can be done both by grounding through the ground or through the fence. However, if the ground is sandy or rocky, your best choice is to run wires to the fencing itself.

  3. What is the output rating in joules?

    Electric fence energizers usually have an output energy rating in joules. Does this energizer have such a rating?

    1. The joules rating on the Fi-Shock fence controller is 0.14.

  4. what else comes with the solar fence

    model ss-440 solar fence, what other items come with the controller? and does northern tool sell the accessories like the wire and items to mount the wiring?
