  1. If this comes unassmebled, will if fit in the back of a pick up truck or do I need a trailer to haul it home

    1. A pick up will work but it will hang over the tailgate of a short bed.

  2. What type of mounts does the cylinder require?

    1. The trailer comes with two mounting tangs (aka D-Ring Clevis) already welded in place which I believe are 35" on center to center. The cylinder you will need (Item# 992226) has a u-shaped steel clevis bracket with 1" Diameter Rods at each end which fit easily and is adjustable. The cylinder I listed above will require a hydraulic pump to power it but you could also use a similar hand powered unit but if you do so after using it once or twice you will opt to use a hydraulic pump instead. It only takes a few seconds for a 12V powered pump (Item # 47370) to move this up to a 60-degree angle. I have also used an air hydraulic unit (with a scuba tank for air) on my other trailer that took a few minutes to pump up and was only good for 2 or 3 uses before I had to have it refilled. I have since converted it to 12V. I use the same 12V Pump on both units and my Golf Cart for a power source as well as to move the trailer.

  3. what does 36 inch closed pin center mean

    1. This is the distance between the center of one pin to the center of the other pin. The pin is the 1" Rod that goes in the clevis of the hydraulic cylinder.

    2. The Farm-Tuff Utility Dump/Trailer Wagon requires a hydraulic cylinder that has a 36 inch closed pin center distance which is the measurement from pin hole center to pin hole center of the cylinder when fully retracted or closed.

  4. Suspension system

    Is this a walking beam suspension or a traditional axle & leaf spring? Photo does not show a full axle but it is hard to see details. Any more photos?

    1. Walking beam if that is the option that is not a leaf spring. There is an axle or long pin that holds the two (one for each side) brackets that have the axles on them. It is pretty clever and seems to work well so far.

  5. Rear gate/panel

    Can someone describe the rear gate/panel since there are no pictures. Does it lift up and out so you can load from the rear (or dump)? Is it hinged? I assume there is one - right?

    1. It lifts up and out. It rides in some grooves or slots.

    2. This Farm-Tuff utility dump trailer wagon has a rear gate/panel that is hinged and can be easily removed by lifting up and out. All four sides can also be removed to use as a flat bed.

  6. What is the maximum dump angle?

    1. 1/16/20-I just complete assembly of my trailer and used Northern Tool Item# 992226 which is currently rated with 5 stars. It has a 4” bore and a 24” stroke. The Rod Mount on this unit is threaded consequently it adjustable. I unscrewed it about 3 turns and it fit the trailer perfectly. Dump Angle with this unit is about 60 degrees which should dump out anything.

    2. This Farm Tuff utility dump wagon will dump at a 90 degree angle. If you add a cylinder it will dump at 45 degrees.

  7. what is the link for the cylender and accecsories

    1. 1/14/2020-I just completed assembly of my trailer and used Northern Tool Item# 992226 which is currently rated with 5 stars. It has a 4” bore and a 24” stroke. The Rod Mount end on this unit is threaded consequently it is adjustable. I unscrewed it about 3 turns and it fit the trailer perfectly. This cylinder will give you about a 60 degree angle when fully extended which should empty any load without a problem. Hope this helps.

    2. The dump cart takes a cylinder with 36 inch closed pin center distance. It will need a 24 inch stroke, and a 4 inch bore. Currently, we do not carry that exact cylinder.

  8. Does this trailer include a 12 volt hydraulic pump reservoir, battery etc so all I need to add is a hydraulic clinder for an operating dump trailer?

    1. the cart I have is set up only for a manual pump/jack. You'll have to supply your own power source for an electronic hydraulic system

    2. This is just the dump trailer. A hydraulic cylinder and a 12 volt power unit would be needed additionally. The cylinder needs to be 4" x 24". The power unit would depend on what you want/need.
