  1. Does this come with wheels and towe handles.

    Is this an inverter type? I would like to use it camping in secluded or primitive type camp sites and run my TV and other electronics such as a satellite system. If not do you have an inverter type at about this wattage so that I may use it to run a small travel trailer and not harm any of the electronics. How much would it cost?

    1. This is not the inverter type. It does come with wheels and a single handle. You can check Northern"s site for Inverter type generators.

    2. I don't think this is an inverter type. I did use this generator for a tailgate that we had where we hooked up a satellite and TV. I did not have any issues but I knew that it was not an inverter so I did not put an expensive TV on it.

    3. This generator comes with wheels and a handle. It is compact and fairly quiet but it is not an inverter type. I use it to power my 26' Dutchman travel trailer with a/c and it works fine for me. I don't have a satellite dish but I do have a LCD flat panel TV with built in DVD player and the generator runs that without any problems.

    4. This unit is not an inverter generator, but I have read in some of the AMAZON site reviews that the generator works fine with electronic devices. I know that it completely meets our off-grid camping needs.

    6. Yes, this generator comes with the wheel kit and the handle.

      However, this generator does not produce a 5% or less THD (total harmonic distortion) which is required to run sensitive electronics without harming them.

      I am not able to list pricing because the price is subject to change.

  2. Can this generator be hooked up to both legs of a 240 volt system to back up my household needs?

    I don't see any generators with a 240 volt outlet to connect directly. (well, not in the under $600 price range, which is all I need)

    1. This is a 120V model only--does not supply 240V. Other generators do supply 240V via 20/30/50A outlets.

    2. This generator could not be hooked up to a 240 volt. I can suggest item #166029 for you. It has the 240 volt plug and sells for only $579.99 and in addition you get 6000 watts.

  3. will this generator run a sump pump?

    1. Check your sump pump to determine the wattage required start it and to run it.

      (Sump pump) electric motors require more power to start than to run. If the sump pump requires 1000W to run, it may require 2000W to start.

      For example
      -- a 1/2-HP sump pump may require 1100W to run and 2200W to start
      -- a 1/3-HP sump pump may require 800W to run and 1600W to start

    2. Depending on the amperage draw and the voltage of the sump pump, this could run a sump pump. The formula for determining the watts needed for your pump is amps x volts = watts. A typical 1/3 HP pump will need approximately 800 watts to run.

  4. Does it have a fuel shut off valve so the carb can be run dry for storage?

    1. Yes, this generator has a fuel shutoff valve that will cut the fuel supply to the carburetor.
