  1. does this auger work on rock?

    we live in the FL Keys and need something to auger holes for planting trees. We need to be able to auger thru limestone and calcium carbonate substrate. Will this work?

    1. Augers and rocks don't mix. This is more than likely to get you hurt. The machine will throw you hard! Secondly, a auger bit at 10" inch is probably nowhere near the required space needed to plant a tree of any sort unless it's a seedling and does not require that much depth. Please follow guidelines for planting trees.

    2. This auger is not recommended for use with rocks as they may dull the blade and not allow the unit to dig depending on the size of the rock.
