Perfect for home backup, this high-performance model features 12,000 surge watts to handle heavy loads, from lights and a refrigerator to a home air conditioner and high amp power tools, plus is ideal also for jobsites and RVs. Dual fuel capability gives you flexibility and the DuroStar 457cc OHV engine is a workhorse with maximum versatility. The RPMs lower when the generator is not in use, saving fuel and reducing noise. Choose between operating the generator at both 120V and 240V simultaneously, or at 120V only with full power.   1. Does this product come with wheels ?

    1. Yes, two rubber tires are included. They are large enough to roll the generator comfortably when lifting the unit like a wheel barrow to move it around. The tires never need inflated and will never go flat.

  2. How long will it run on propane?

    1. This will run for approximately 14 hours at 1/4 load and 7 hours at half load on a 40lb. tank.

  3. Does this generator charge its own battery when runnin? That question isn't addressed in the user manual. I keep it hooked up to a battery charger/tender just in case.

    1. The generator would not charge the battery when the generator is running. We would recommend to put a battery minder on the battery when it is not in use to keep it ready for when it is needed. See our battery minder, item 167981.

  4. Does this model have a oil and gas filter on it?

    1. The oil filter type needed for XP15000EH is a 751-12690. The generator does not come with a fuel filter.

    1. This generator does not include a hose to connect to a propane tank.

  9. 1, what kind of protection from the elements does this unit require? can i leave it outside permanently? 2. how do i connect this to a transfer switch?

    1. The generator would require a top housing to keep it protected from the elements. The cover would need to allow it to have adequate air circulation. You would connect the generator to the transfer switch with a generator power cord, see our item #100170 for a 10 foot cord. We offer transfer switch, item #100005 and the power inlet box, item #100030 that would work with this generator.
