    1. The cold air return and exhaust are not combined in the DuraVent 3PVL-KHA Pellet Stove Vent Kit. It is designed solely for exhaust venting. A separate fresh air intake kit is required if your stove needs outside combustion air.

  3. What is the maximum length for a pellet stove chimney

    1. The maximum horizontal venting allowed with no vertical venting attached is 48 inches including one 90° elbow or two 45° elbows. Addition of any horizontal venting beyond 48 inches requires a minimum 60 inches of additional vertical vent. Most installations require a certain amount of vertical rise in the vent pipe for proper drafting. The maximum venting allowed can vary per the manufacturer's installation instructions. To much venting will cause poor drafting which will lead to incomplete combustion and smoke issues.

  4. how long is the lifetime warranty if I have a defective part? Who do I contact to get a replacement?

    1. The limited lifetime warranty is subject to limitations. Duravent warrants that its products will be free from defects in material or manufacturing. The product is fully warrantied if product is properly installed by a professional installer, maintained and used. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, smoke damage, chimney fire, was not purchased from an authorized dealer, modified or altered, improperly serviced or maintained or subject to negligence. Please contact the manufacturer directly for warranty replacement.

    1. This Duravent pellet stove venting is only sold in the complete kit. Additional pieces may be available through the manufacturer.

  8. What is the maximum wall thickness the thimble will accommodate?

    1. The thimble works for up to 8 inch thick walls, but you may extend the tubes with a wrap of sheet metal or a 7 inch diameter galvanized pipe to bridge the gap created by thicker walls.

  9. What is the diameter of the whole needed to be cut through the wall for the thimble?

    1. To allow for proper clearance from combustibles a 7.5 inch square hole is cut in the wall for the wall thimble.

  10. I need to be able to vent my stove through the roof. Does this kit allow for that or is there anyway to purchase additional 12 inch pipes from the kit?

    1. The vent kit is designed for a through the wall application. We do not carry additional pipe to accommodate a through the roof application.
