  1. Is there a cut guide light ?

    1. There is a cut guide light. It shines from both sides and creates a well defined shadow of what the saw kerf will be. It's one of the best I've seen because it illuminates both sides of the blade path.

    2. Yes. There is an led that casts a shadow of the blade where the cut will take place

    3. Saw does include a blade shadow light, not 100% accurate, but gets you close and then you adjust accordingly to your blade

  2. Hi there , does it come with POSITIVE stop at several angles ( 90, 45 and the normal crown molding angles ? )

    1. The miter saw latch override lets you override the common stop angles. The bevel lock knob allows you to bevel the saw 49 degrees left or right. The 0 degree bevel override allows you to bevel the saw to the right past the 0 degree mark. There are two bevel stop override levers, one on each side of the saw. Left or right, past 45 degree. When cutting crown molding laying flat, the saw is equipped to accurately and rapidly set a crown stop, left or right. The saw also has a 22.5 degree bevel pawls left or right. Instructions for the different angles and stops are included in the manual.

  3. I am looking for a machine that works on a power rating of 220volts and 50 hertz . Does this machine have this ?

    1. This would be a 120 volt, 60 Hz (hertz) miter saw. Northern Tool does not carry a 220 volt in 50 Hz.

    1. The miter saw would not be recommended for use with a masonry blade to cut blocks. It is designed for cutting wood.

  6. Can this saw cut a 5" thick landscape timber?

    1. This saw has a maximum cutting thickness at the fence of 4.4". It will not be able to cut a 5" timber in a single pass. To do this would require two cuts, one on each side of the timber.
