  1. Will this work with a Honda GX 340?

    Im wanting to upgrade my Tecumseh 6.5 with a honda gx 340 and my comet 30

    1. The driver side of this torque converter combo has a 1" bore with a length of 3-15/16". It also has a 1/4" keyway. To ensure this is compatible with your engine, you'll need to verify your engine's shaft has those specs.

  2. How long does engine shaft need to be 1" briggs 18hp

    shaft length for proper mounting of torque converter

    1. The driver side is a 1" bore with a length of 3 15/16". A 2" shaft would work as you would be putting a bolt through from the other side. The driven side has a 3/4" bore and length across is 3 13/32".

  3. What are the outside diameters of these two pulleys?

    1. The outside diameter of the larger one is 7 5/8 inches and the smaller is 5 17/32 inches.

  5. I am curious to know if this product can be mounted on a vertical shaft engine?

    I've got a homemade go-kart with a 18 hp Briggs & Stratton vertical shaft twin (free-bee). in the future I'd like to replace the transmition with a torque converter. but i wasn't sure if it could be mounted horizontally, and still operate correctly.

    1. This can be mounted on a vertical or horizontal engine. Be sure to follow the mounting instructions included.
