Turn your UTV into a landscaping tool with the Buyers Products Receiver Mount UTV All Purpose Spreader. This spreader attaches with a 2in. receiver hitch and has a spread width of up to 30ft. The durable poly hopper holds up to 15 gallons of free-flowing material such as salt, seed, feed, and fertilizer to handle all of your landscaping needs. The spreader has a sealed 12V motor and an adjustable shut-off feed gate so you control how much material is used. The hopper includes a poly lid to protect materials from the elements. The included wiring harness is 8.5ft. long. A longer wiring harness may be required for select UTV models, including John Deere.

  1. Will this fit pick-up truck

    1. Yes it will, with a standard 2" receiver

    2. Technically if you have a 2 inch receiver hitch this spreader could be attached to the truck however, the electrical leads would be too short to connect and you would have stop the truck and get out in order shut the spreader off.

  2. Is this unit suitable for spreading sand or sand/rock salt?

    1. sand would need to be dry has u could get it

    2. This Buyers Spreader can be used with sand as long as it is 100 percent dry. If there is any moisture, that may cause deterioration to the spreader.

  3. How long is the bar that fits into the hitch receiver?

    How long is the bar that fits into the hitch receiver? I own a Polaris Ranger UTV and the receiver sets 12" in from the back of the tailgate, so I'd need a bar that was about 18" to 20" long to properly position the spreader.

    1. The 2" square tube is 28" long. I had the same concern on my John Deere Gator but this works fine and is robust enough for the 100 lbs of product held in the hopper not to bend or break.

    1. I would say no. I spread pelletized line and I would say it reached about 12' max. Remember, there is no speed control on the spinner, so the product throw distance is about the same all the time.

    2. This Buyers hitch mounted ATV spreader has a flow control arm to decrease or increase the amount and size of material you are using. However, it will not reduce to a 3' radius.

  10. can you dispense seed or fertilizer at per acre rates. Is there a setting for that.

    1. The unit does not have the means to seed/fertilize per acre. It does allow the spread pattern to be adjusted to fit the application.
