Product Summary

Turn your ATV into a landscaping tool with the Buyers Products Vertical Mount ATV All Purpose Spreader. The spreader mounts vertically on your ATV's tubular utility rack. It has a spread width of up to 30ft. The durable poly hopper holds up to 15 gal of free-flowing material such as salt, seed, feed, and fertilizer to handle all of your landscaping needs. The spreader has a sealed 12V motor and an adjustable shut-off feed gate so you control how much material is used. The power switch and controls are easily accessible from the seat of your ATV, letting you do the job from start to finish without getting off your vehicle. The hopper includes a poly lid to protect materials from the elements.

  1. does the 12v control both the gate & spinner ?

    My concern is will the gate close when the spinner stops turning ? If not will the fertilizer continue to run out when the spinner stops causing fertilizer to accunulate on the spinner or ground, and a burst of product when the spinner starts?

    1. The spreader has a flow arm which opens the gate and can be adjusted to your desired flow rate. However the gate has to be opened manually. The motor is also operated by switch. You can close the gate before turning off the motor or turn the motor on before opening the gate.

    3. This ATV Spreader has a manual control for the gate. Shut the gate and then turn off the spreader to prevent accumulation on the spreader.

    Can sand be spread with this spreader?

    1. I can not tell you for sure but I feel sand would be way too heavy for this spreader.

    1. no, unless you let the product sit in tank and get wet, should not be a problem. being mounted on a 4 wheeler the ride is enough to keep it flowing.

    1. will work great! also can be used to salt your driveway with rock salt.

    1. no,but is does come with a chart,for the amout you want to spread,and at what speed

  6. I already have a "Ball" hitch on my ATV, do I have to remove it to mount this spreader. If so do I have ro mount another bracket for this spreader?

    1. No, you don't need to change the ball hitch
      Your atv spreader mounts up on the tubular platform
      that comes on the fourwheeler. Brackets come with
      the spreader.

    2. This Buyer Spreader comes with all hardware for installation and use. You do not have to remove the ball that you currently have on your hitch.

  8. Does this hook up to a 12 volt battery?

    1. The spreader will come with a wiring harness to connect to the 12 volt battery on your ATV.

    1. The spreader includes a mounting bracket that attaches to the tubular platform included with your ATV. The hopper is attached to the bracket by two mounting pins.

  10. Does it mount on ATV with 2 inch receiver hitch?

    1. The Buyers ATV Spreader is designed to be attached to the tubular platform that is included with the ATV. This is not designed to be used with a receiver hitch.
