  1. Does the pump burn up if I leave it on for too long? Or does it drain?

    1. The pump should not be left running for more than 2 minutes, if you are not using the gun. Leaving it run longer causes the water inside the pump to recirculate and heat up and can damage the pump.

    1. The engine on this pressure washer is rated at 420 CC.

  3. Is thus unit set up to recirculate water out to prevent overheating when idling ?

    1. The pump on the pressure washer would recirculate the water when idling. Recirculation will generate heat due to friction and should not be left to idle for more than 1-2 minutes. This can damage the pump's internal seals and O-rings.

  4. Can hot water be used with this pump? Or is it a cold water only pump?

    1. No, you cannot use hot water on the Briggs & Stratton 4000 PSI pressure washer because it is a cold water unit and lacks the components to handle high temperatures.

  5. Why does it say that it is a 4000psi when the adjustable psi is maxed out at 3300

    1. The pressure rating of this pressure washer is 4000 PSI. The pressure and flow rate are 4000 PSI (276 bar) at 4.0 GPM (15.1 L/min). To decrease or adjust the pressure, simply turn the control knob.

  6. In description it says adjustable pressure in specs it says no adjustable pressure. Which is it?

    1. You may adjust the pressure on the pressure washer using the pressure adjustment knob located on the top of the pressure washer pump.
