    1. The box says "Made in China". I generally won't buy Chinese, but, this piece is an exception. It's well made with excellent fit and finish. When looking at the jack on display I was sure it was American made and I was really surprised to find the "Made in China" on the box when I got it home.

  3. Are any of the major components made of steel?

    I recently purchased an "aluminum" floor jack, only to find that the only aluminum components are the two main side plates...

    1. This unit is 90% aluminum. The only steel parts are the wheels, axle, and pump components. The structural parts are all aluminum.

    Are the front wheels (not the casters) attached with bearings to roll on, or does the axle contact the wheel itself?

    1. The front wheels roll on steel sleeves/bushings. The sleeves are held in place on the axle.
