  2. Does this shred the leaves after it sucks them up or does it just rely on the lawnmower to do that?

    1. Relies on the mower to do that. Instruction manual suggests mowing first, then vacuuming. The reduction ratio is for the mulcher. The first couple times I used it I didn't mow first and it did a fine job of compressing the leaves. The garbage cans will weigh less if you don't mow first...

    2. The main shredding of the leaves would be done by your mower, then they go through the blades and it will shred them up more.

    1. Yes, you may order the deck adapter from our parts department. Please call (800) 222-5381. The part # is AG43830 for the deck adapter or part # AG62468 if you need the complete deck adapter kit including hardware, brackets, and templates.

  4. With respect to the shredder, can it be used for pine cones? Feeding them down the hopper instead of mowing them?

    The cones I have are up to five inches across. Most are four inches or less. i would like to turn them into compost.

  5. Will this vacuum attach to a ZTR type tractor?

    While I realize care would be needed in towing this with a ZTR, I have a 50 acre property to take care of that is loaded with leaves. We have a Grasshopper 722 ZTR tractor with a 61 inch front mounted deck. Is there any way the Chip N Vac would attach to something this long? Just to use it for vacuuming?

    1. Yes, this vacuum will attach to a ZTR type tractor with the appropriate hose extention kit (Part #AG65640). The kit however, is not available on our website and must be ordered directly through our sales department by calling 1-800-221-0516.
