Welding Tables
Experienced welders, hobbyists, and novice welders all should consider safety and performance when it comes to selecting a welding table for their projects. These specialized work surfaces are made to withstand scorching high-temperatures and to support heavy equipment. From these welding tables for sale, you'll find your match. For each type of welding, there are different considerations. MIG and TIG welding are often used for repairing vehicle exhausts and in farm implement repair. Consider the size of the table to safely hold large pieces. For flux cored welding, capacity should be considered, for the thicker metals. Stick welding will require portability, not just casters, but maybe rethink the use of a traditional table altogether and select a welding cart.
We carry gas cylinder carts as well. A standard welding table is simply a flat, 4-legged surface, with a steel welding table top. We carry Strong Hand Tools which has several welding table and welding bench set ups. The tables are designed for the welding job to be done in stages, with clamps for holding in various fixed positions. There are more specialized designs in fabrication tables for whatever you're welding. This includes alloy surfaces and maneuverability. Consider your working style and choose an adjustable table if you alternate between sitting and standing. Weight capacity is an important consideration as well. A portable welding table, a folding welding table, would be ideal if you don't have the floor space to accommodate a permanent welding table fixture. This set up is less expensive but will not stand up to the heat and weight of big welding jobs. Make sure you choose a welding table kit that supports your welding style.
Look for a steel welding table made with steel plates and machined holes in a grid pattern. Being able to have multiple welding hand tools close by and secured is helpful. A plate-and-slot configuration provides numerous clamping edges more efficient fixturing and job layout. Modular welding tables allow for work to be done efficiently with positioning options, not just the components to be welded, but where and how the table itself is configured. Locking casters, tables with adjustable heights, and slatted surfaces for easy replacement and to accommodate jigs and other specialized welding tools.
