Northern Tool + Equipment's collection of air hoses includes top brands such as Goodyear, Dewalt, and BluBird, among others. Be sure to check out our customer's list of the best air hoses to help you make the right hose selection for your needs. To determine which hose is best for your project and workspace, consider the hose's material, length, and diameter. Air Hose Material
Air hose buyers can choose from a variety of material types, but polyurethane, PVC, and hybrid hoses have become industry favorites. Polyurethane hoses are suited for a wide variety of projects and conditions, which is why they've been deemed the best "all-around" option. Poly hoses are lightweight and flexible in most temperatures. PVC hoses are heavier, durable, abrasion resistant, economical, and best suited for use in warm temperatures. They are also more rigid than poly or hybrid hoses, but this rigidity allows for easier maneuverability and less snagging on obstacles. Finally, hybrid hoses are made from blends of polyurethane, PVC, polyester, and/or rubber which allow for extreme flexibility and durability, even in cold temperatures. Hybrid hoses are highly sought after due to their resistance to kinks and easy unraveling. You will also find several traditional rubber air hoses in our selection. Rubber hoses used to be more common, but their popularity has decreased due to their weight. Air Hose Length We carry a variety of hose lengths, 50 ft and 100 ft being the most popular. Longer air hoses give the user more freedom and maneuverability. They also decrease or eliminate the need for powering a compressor with an extension cord. Prior to selecting air hose length, consider your most used tools' CFM requirements. When your tool's CFM requirements are near the max output of the compressor, a shorter hose is necessary to avoid frictional loss.
