This Northman flow control valve is designed to restrict the flow of oil in a hydraulic system to control the speed of a cylinder or motor. The flow in one direction is metered as adjusted. The flow in the opposite direction is a free flow over a check valve. Valve mounts as a modular unit between a D03 size directional control valve and the subplate. Contains 2 separate pilot-operated check valves—one each on A cylinder port and B cylinder port. Allows metered flow adjustment in the cylinder ports as the flow exits, controlling the speed of the cylinder. As separate valves, speed may be controlled independently for the extend and retract operations. Requires longer than standard bolt kit to mount this flow control in valve stack.
