If you need to control weeds, insects or apply fertilizers, spraying liquid is the best way to apply lawn and agricultural chemicals. Northern has a wide variety of spray guns and sprayers to fit your spraying needs. We offer hand-held or backpack sprayers, plus larger NorthStar models that attach to an ATV, tow behind a lawn tractor or skid models that fit in a truck bed.
Liquid chemicals are less expensive than granular chemicals. Liquid chemicals are also absorbed into the plant leaf better for a quicker response. It's what the professionals use!
Portable Sprayers are small hand-held or backpack sprayers that can handle small jobs, like spraying weeds in a yard or patio. They would be used occasionally in residential and rural homes. Common chemicals applied would be Round-Up.
All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) Sprayers are mounted on your electric-start ATV. They would be most commonly used for spraying weeds, trees and fence lines on a rural home or farm. Normal use is twice per month during the spraying season. Typical chemicals applied include Round-Up, fruit tree oil and liquid Sevin.
Tow Behind Sprayers require an electric-start lawn tractor or ATV to tow the sprayer. They are most commonly used to spray lawns on a residential home, rural home or farm. Normal use is twice a month during the spraying season. Popular chemicals used include Round-Up, Weed-B-Gone and Diazinon.
Skid Sprayers are heavy-duty and are mounted in the bed of a full-size truck. They are typically used by a business for daily applications during the spraying season. Most-used chemicals include Round-Up, 2,4-D, and Trimec.
Spot Sprayer Guns are designed for treating small isolated areas such as weeds. Spray nozzles adjust from mist to stream. Their spray height is limited and it is difficult to apply liquids evenly to large areas.
Broadcast/Boom Sprayers are specifically designed for treating large areas. They are difficult to use for small areas.
Tree Sprayer Guns are perfect for spraying tall trees and delicate items. Spray nozzles adjust from mist to stream. However, it is difficult to apply liquids evenly to large areas with these spray guns.
Lawn Sprayer Guns are ideal for spraying large areas. Achieving even applications may be difficult, as well as spraying small isolated areas. Spray height is limited.
