Am I responsible for customs duties and taxes?
Yes, import duties and/or taxes (for orders shipped to non-U.S. destinations) may be imposed by your local government on shipments from outside your country. These charges are separate from Northern's charges and are beyond our control or ability to predict. These charges (if any) are made payable to your government.

How are NorTrac machines delivered?
Each NorTrac machine is delivered ready-to-go via Truck Freight on a dedicated flat bed to your location. The freight company calls you to make a delivery appointment prior to the order arriving at your location. The freight company will delivery the machine to your direct shipping address. On a rare occassion, the freight company may not be able to deliver the unit to your direct address due to private driveway weight limitations or surface condition, and/or lack of turning area on a specific property. In this case they will work with you to deliver the machine as close as possible to the delivery destination. Off-load to the ground is provided with NorTrac tractor and dozer deliveries

How do I estimate my shipping charges?
We have a UPS shipping calculator that is available on our Online Store product pages and also the Shopping Cart pages. Please call 1-800-521-0438 for freight quotes on the tractors and forklifts.
NOTE: Some items cannot be shipped via UPS, due to size, weight and hazardous materials restrictions. Some items may also have additional hazardous-materials charges. Shipping and handling rates are subject to change without notice.

How long will it take to receive my order?
- UPS Ground: 7-10 business days.
- RPS Ground: 7-10 business days.
- Postal Carrier: 10-14 business days.
- Yellow Freight: 7-10 business days.
- Flat-Bed Semi-Trailer/Tilt-back Tow Truck: 7-10 days.

If I have more than one item on my order and an item is on back order, do I get charged shipping twice?
Yes, each item is charged shipping when it leaves. However, you are not charged any additional shipping from what was quoted at the time of the order. The shipping cost is pro-rated.

What shipping carriers do you offer?
1.Standard Ground Shipments: Standard ground shipments are made via UPS. UPS cannot deliver to P.O. Box numbers, so please provide a complete street address for prompt delivery. Please allow at least ten (10) business days for delivery before calling on order status.
2.Air Shipments:
We offer second and next-day air options via UPS and Fed Ex. UPS is usually the carrier offered at NorthernTool.com, because it provides the most economical shipping method. Fed Ex is only offered for items where UPS is not available.
3.Truck Freight Shipments:
Items too heavy or too large for standard ground shipments will be shipped by truck. Please call us for a freight quote. Include your daytime phone number on the order form so the carrier can schedule merchandise delivery to be made when you will have unloading help on hand. (Truck freight companies do not require their drivers to unload shipments. An additional lift gate charge may apply if the driver unloads the merchandise.)
4.Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands Customers:
Call 1-800-556-7885 for rates. UPS can deliver to most areas; it is more expensive due to air service charges. Parcel Post is more economical.
5.International Customers:

What taxes are applied to my order?
Minnesota and South Carolina residents must pay applicable sales tax. South Carolina residents must also pay tax on shipping. If you are a tax-exempt customer in Minnesota or South Carolina, please send us a copy of your state's exemption certificate.
