threader
This tool worked marginally through about 6 joints of 1 1/4 but the ratcheted cracked and then the 3/4 die feel apart.
Knowing that it was a cheep tool i.e. inexpensive, I used it with care but it still failed in multiple ways rapidly.

Junk
Junk don't buy. I couldn't even cut 1 thread with it. Had to go to another store to buy one that worked; wasted 3 hrs. between trying to make it work & buying another.

not a quality product
This tool broke the second time I used it. I didn't bother to send it back. It is junk, buy a better tool if you need to cut pipe thread.

Not as strong as expected.
My husband had me order this for him - we were putting in a shallow well on our property and needed to "fit the pipe" I guess...Didn't hold up. Used it once and broke. Didn't bother to return it, figured it would be a hassle since the quality of the tool couldn't even hold up.

Nice for a little while...
The threads were clean. But the tool could not stand up to the test for very long. I didn't even finish my first project with it before the handle cracked the ratchet head. I did return it for 85 percent of store credit though.

Pipe Threader 150499
The dies did not clear themselves of the cutting materials and caused damage to the threads when removing. The size of the cutting dies are not correct with the fittings on todays market

They won't get you by
The cutting dimensions are in error about 0.01" per quarter inch , so for 1¼" pipe the error is about 0.05" – meaning, the pipe you cut threads on won't fit any commercially made fittings. You might be able to use these for aluminium or copper pipe because the threads will bend, but they aren’t really useful for typical black or galvanized steel that standard pipe is made from.
If you cut a lot of pipe for water or for gas, you’re just going to have to shell out the (much higher) cost for a commercial-grade die set

threading
DIES DID NOT CUT THREADS PROPERLY. THEY WOULD NOT WORK ON FITTINGS FROM VARIOUS SUPPLIERS.
THIS ITEM WAS RETURNED TO YOU AND A CREDIT WAS ISSUED.

Good value for occasional use...
I bought this unit to thread 3/4" and 1/2" pipe for air lines in my garage. I don't intend to use it all the time, and don't expect it to hold up to heavy use, so the price seemed pretty reasonable. Especially considering threaders make a big jump in price after this one!
The unit works fine, although the dies on the 3/4" are starting to get dull, which causes the threads to 'tear'. I tried sharpening the dies with a stone, which helped a bit, but if you're doing much threading, a set of replacement dies is probably in your future.
Overall quality is typical of any 'offshore' tool, and the stories of defects reflect that: I wouldn't put it up against Ridgid or other big name brand. But the price reflects that: if I was making my living threading pipe though, I'd skip this one, but for what you pay, it does the job pretty well.

Worked very well for the use that I needed it for.
