"I was looking for a pump to circulate and filter the water in our pool. Most pool pumps are very expensive and this little pump was very well priced. I purchased one and installed it on the pool, with a filter on the inlet side. It is set to run 12 hrs. a day, 7 days a week. It has performed exceptionally well and would recommend it to anybody. If for some unforseen reason I need to replace it, I would buy another one. It has excellent suction and is quiet running."

"i use this pump for a biodiesel reactor and have had to replace it zero times before i used a similar pump which had to be replaced too often . since switching to the northern pump i havnt had to replace it in over 3 years thanks for the wonderful pump jeff"

"Great little pump. I used it with a solar panel array at an off grid camp. The low power draw was a real bonus as the pump is located about 200' from the battery bank. the pump lifts water about 20' to a holding tank which then gravity feeds the camp's water system. It's a little workhorse."

Good pump for irrigation,

"I purchased this pump along with the suction hose and 1" hose to get water out of a drainage ditch to a number of trees I planted. I sacrificed an extension cable to wire it and set it up. After a bit of experimentation, I fount the best way to prime this is to get the suction end VERY close to the water level then turn on. I then opened the priming hole, which lets the air get pumped out of the priming hose and pump. Then woosh, it works like a charm. At that point I move it to higher ground, a few feet above the water line. I have it then spit out to hoses and it works great, moving a lot of water and saving my house well pump. For the 4 solid days I've used it, it has been great, simple and great value."

Cast iron water pump,

"As the name implies, this is a "cast iron" pump. The problems that I have had is that if you let this item sit for any length of time, like just a few weeks, the impler will rust fast to the pump housing. I have gone through 2 of these and will not purchas another. The last one that I had, I had to remove the fan housing and rotate the impler to free it up. That worked, but now the pump just wont put out the gpm that it use to and infact shorted out. This is a poorly made product that's only good for one season."

"I bought this to use as a pump for my pond fountain. Mounted pump on a railroad tie retaining wall, built a smal house around it, used PVC piping as a suction (inlet), and a garden hose valve (outlet), ran the 50 garden hose to the floating fountain. Works great!!!"

"I have 4 of these pumps and use them for the production biodiesel and they work great.. Never had any major problems.. They lock up sometimes just take a flat tip and turn the fan on the back and its all fixed..pumped thousands of gallons with them..about to buy more for another system.."

"We bought this pump to put water from a 250 gallon barrel into our RV and 4 other trailers on the deer lease. This pump made short work out of transfering the water. Prior to this pump we had burnt up two other pumps that were more expensive than this one. So in turn, we feel like this was a great investment for us."
