Timberjack
I used this tool about three or for times and the weld holding the stand broke. I was very disappointed with the overall quality of this tool.

AWESOME TOOL
The Timberjack is a great tool for working in the wood or just in your wood pile. It works GREAT for rolling the big logs to cut the rest of the way around and nice to pick up the smaller ones to cut them up.I LOVE IT.

Timber Jack
This item worked very well for rolling up logs so I could cut them up without hit the chain saw on the ground. The only thing I did to it was sharpen the hook more than it was as it came out of the package. On a few logs that had heavy bark I needed to hit the hook into the wood a bit so it would grab better. Over all it works pretty good. Also has a nice heavy duty handle.

Timberjack
A very useful tool when cutting smaller (8-10 inches) trees, or already downed trees in the woods. Can get a moderate size log up off the ground so you can cut it without the chain hitting the soil, but it is most useful for turning logs, even larger diameter logs, even those that it can not actually lift, in order to make two cuts, or more, again to avoid hitting dirt with the chain. The hook grabs the tree well, tho may slip alittle if the bark is rotten. It will grab the next time you place it. I don't use it all the time when I am cutting, but it is a necessary tool along with plastic wedges, for the home handman who heats with wood.

Ok for yard work
Worked ok clearing my back yard but would'nt use it if I were building log homes as a professional or working in the woods on a daily basis. Sloppy hook doesn't grab sometimes so part time farm use it will do the job.

Chain saw blade saver
This product was purchased to be used for lifting wind dropped or cut trees. With the rocky terrain underfoot, chainsaw blades take a beating when cutting down lumber. As careful as one may be, you are bound to "bottom out" or pinch when cutting in this atmosphere. The timberjack easily lifts the tree off the ground negating the need to make multiple partial cuts and roll or prop the tree. Safety of the job is greatly improved since the lumber is immobilized and plunge cutting is not required. Highly recommend due to the rugged design.

Timberjack
I found this product to be of low quality in that it was clumsy to work with and poorly designed.

Poor design of hook, handle too thick
For some reason the handle is 3 inches thick Worse part is that th hook is wrong angle - it slides over the lo g- it won't grab it

A third Hand in cutting
This a chain saver when cutting up the logs in an area where you don't know the undergrowth and hidden gems like rocks. It elevates the log nicely to make safe cuts. When your logs get to about 4 feet you need to place the hook in such a way to get even cuts. I purchased this and a cant hook to man handle the larger logs in the woods. Don't go to heavy on the rolling as wood handle will break, just manage your cuts in 8-12 foot lengths depending on the diameter of your log, and you will find this tool very rewarding.

Great Tool
I used the jack for about a year and it has saved both my back and my blade. I did have to file the point to get it to grip well.
