Mr. Heater 22k BTU Review
I purchased two 22,000BTU heaters instead of one 40,000 or even one 60,000 BTU heater, even though the two cost more than buying one larger heater. This turned out to be a good decision because I placed then in different parts of the workshop which provided a more comfortable total environment than having one large heater providing too much heat in one spot. My workshop is 950SF.
PROS:
1. No electricity required
2. No fan noise
3. Infrared efficiency
4. Thermostat and wall bracket included
5. Made in the USA
CONS:
1. Pilot flame is noisy
2. Wall bracket although sturdy, has only one attachment point to the heater. It is difficult to set the heater parallel to the ground.
3. Thermostat wire provided is too short but can be replaced by a longer wire by going to a thicker gauge wire. (Up to 30 feet per the thermostat instruction booklet)
NOTE: the inlet pressure to the heater gas valve is ½ PSI. You may need a reducing gas valve from the normal 2 PSI to ½ PSI.

Great shop heater
I have had this heater for about 10 years with no problems at all. It heats my 15X30 shop easily and I'm sure it could handle an area twice that size no problem. The thermostat keeps everything at a constant temperature and no matter how cold and nasty it is outside, I know my shop is toasty warm. No fans mean even if the power is out I still have heat.

great garage heater
I have this heater in a three car partially insulated garage. I normally have the thermostat set at 34 degrees and it has no problem maintaining with outside temps in the teens. If I want to work I just set it up to about 55 and in a half hour it's good to go. I like that it does not take up any wall space and needs no electricity. The only thing that I had to do was adjust the pilot per the instructions. The thermostat wire could stand to be a little longer also.

Great garage heater!
I use a Mr. Heater garage heater in the winter in Sacramento, CA. I prefer to work with the doors open in order to clear any dust particles from various woodworking tools that my vacuum system misses. I mounted the unit in such a way that it directs its' infrared heat waves directly on my work area. I work comfortably in 40- 50 degree temperatures, often in shirt sleeves. The beauty of this infrared heater is that it heats objects rather than the air and the effect is immediately felt. I have lots of tools, this one is my favorite!

Heat for farm work shop
I installed the Mr Heater 22,000 BTU propane heater in a workshop behind a machine shed. This unit is the most efficient heat that I have experienced. It will keep the shop above freezing when the thermostat is set low yet will bring it up to a very comfortable working temperature within an hour all without the need for electricity. Great unit.
