Great support tool
Larger and heavier than I thought which is great. This is a helpers tool when you are working on something and taking it apart, this is a great way to hold you screws/bolts/etc., even a tool or two. When you are working alone, it works great. Magnets also work thru the bottom so you can sit the tray on something metallic and know it will not fall off.

Make your Magnetic tool tray easier to use ...
I find myself pulling the plastic drawers from my organizer with different screw sizes aligning them in the tray to carry to my project - the magnet is strong enough to hold the drawers in place. I'm also more inclined to PUT THEM BACK where they belong.
When using the tray to catch staples, nail and screws being removed from a project - I put the whole tray inside a plastic shopping bag ... after finishing my project - I literally turn the bag wrong side out as I remove it from the tray, tie the bag off and toss it away.... tray is clean and I'm not handling the metal a second time.
I do the same thing when I'm drilling metal - but, use the bottom of the tray to gather the filings that missed hitting it - then again ... just toss the bag away.
My older van goes through head lights more than I would like to change ... I just toss the tray on the hood so I can quit picking up the screws from the driveway gravel....
If you use it in the house ... KEEP IT AWAY from your computer, laptop and other electronic devices or vhs tapes ... the magnets ARE strong.
I own 2 of the larger trays and 2 of the smaller trays. They remain the easiest and first thing I put my hands on before starting most of my projects.
If you get TIRED of looking for drill bits, drivers and screws during a job ... you gotta get one... OR two of these.
I want to mount steel sections on my aluminum ladder so I can have my tray handy - I'll silicone under the metal to prevent the corrosion that eventually happens with dissimilar metals - a future project.
Downside ? ... I think I would like to see the sides a little higher - I could keep my tools to the side and junk stuff to the center .. but, mostly matters not - that's why I bought 2 anyway.
Asked technical expertise to complete this .. I prefer do-it-yourselfHER ...

Magnet maker
These trays are great for a job with lots of screws or metal parts. they will even work sideways or upside down. The only issue I have is that it will magnetize anything you put on it, including metal filings or cuttings.
