JohnDow Crew Chief Portable Oil Drain - 8 Gallons, Model# JDI-8DCP
The oil drain that's a PAIN
LuckyoTool here. This thing is BAD! Leaked oil through the screw hole on the down tube. Leaked oil out the bottom where the wheels attach. However, if you need to oil your shop floor then this is the product for you!

Portable oil drain
If you have a car lift this product is a must. The adjustable height makes for splatter free work.I did my truck, and the large volume holding tank is great, oil, transfer case, and transmission all fit easily .

The portable oil drain that I ordered came in the other day, and I could not wait to use it! I quickly put it together and put a car on the lift and proceeded to change the oil. The only problem was that in my haste to use it, I put the filler pipe in upside down! Oil poured out of the tube and all over the shop floor. After I recovered from my goof and flipped the tube to the correct position, the drain performed wonderfully. Easy to roll around and empty, this tool will be used often. Thank you for the great value and prompt service you provide Northern Tools!

Leakfree Oil Drain
This is an excellent product especially for the low price. It's small enough to stay out of the way in our drain pit but large enough to hold several oil changes before emptying. The funnel is large enough to catch all the drippings from hard to get to oil filters. The plastic tank is strong and can take a lot of abuse. Great product!!

Portable Oil Drain
Conceptually this is what I wanted. My problem is it leaks at the joint between the two pieces of pipe. There is a screw that goes through that joint to secure it and oil leaks down the outside of the pipe from both ends of the screw.

I got this oil drain kit for use with my above-ground lift. It is easy to move and the wheels are rugged. The only thing I would suggest as an improvement is adding a small flange or molded-in area to hold an oil filter while it drains. If you let them go into the funnel they tend to fall over the drain hole, blocking it. You have to also remember that hot oil heats that drain pipe rapidly and not to just grab it to move the drain tank out of the way - ouch! The eight gallon capacity is not so heavy that you can't easily pick it up to get it to the oil recycling tank.
