"Purchased this splitter wedge as one of the several parts I had ordered from Northern to overhaul a homemade log splitter. It was a major overhaul. The only item we did not replace was the engine. I was pleased with the quick handling and shipment of the order.

I did not do the weldling myself, but the person welded the wedge to the steel plate was impressed with the quality of the wedge. The next thing I plan to purchase is the NorthStar Four Way Slip On Log Splitter Wedge."

"this product is an essential part of my 30 Ton log splitter. It was easy to weld onto the I Beam and goes through the toughest hardwood like butter. A very good decision to buy this. I have cut about a 100 cord of wood, mostly hardwood with nothing more than a wipe down of the blade."

"This wedge seems to be well made and is sold for a good price. You can't make it your self for this price. It was easy to weld with a mig welder. The steel was a little softer than I expected. overall I am very happy with this product."

"It cost more for me to buy the steel Then it did to buy it here already made with shipping. Welded nice looks good. I would have given 5 stars but I had to sharpen it. The cutting edge had a good size flat on it."
