"I have a vole problem in my 3.5 acre backyard. So I tried the aluminum style, as it covers more square feet. I was very disappointed as the voles seem to be more inquisitive than frightened. The mounds are literally right on top of them. I do NOT recommend."

don't waste your money,

"Call me an optimist--I liked the idea of these, had bought the plastic version at a farm and garden store, but had had difficulty keeping them running. Put batteries in, slipped them into pre-drilled holes in my yard, and they'd stay active for a day or two, then stop working. Pull them out, mess with cap and/or batteries, get them buzzing again, put 'em back in yard and....repeat every day or two until you get tired of the hassle.
Thought the aluminum version must be better quality than the plastic, and they were rated to cover a larger area, so took the chance and ordered 5. Again, will only work for a few days, best case, before they stop working and you have to pull them out and mess around with them---and even when they're working, I've got gopher/mole trails right up to them. Guess the critters are more curious than repelled by the intermittent buzzing noises.
An great concept, and more appealing than poisons, but not effective at all. Gave a one-star rating as there is no zero star option."

No more moles,

"I live in North Central Arkansas and HAD a terrible problem with mole in my front yard and vegetable garden. I had tried poison gas and bait, but had no success with either. I didn't want to use too much of either product since I have 7 dogs and didn't want to have them getting around the stuff.
I purchased 2 of the aluminum mole chasers and placed one in the middle of the garden and the other at the edge of the front yard close to the house to keep them out of the flower beds. THEY WORK!!! I haven't seen one mound this year and I plan on buying some more."

"We got 2. One for the front and back. They work great. We used to have dirt mounds all over our yard, now we do not. Just keep current batteries in them and no more moles no traps, just a neat yard. We live at a lake and these work great since neighbors have domestic pets that roam, these do not harm anything, just derters the ground diggers."

"This product really works. If you have a mole problem the Mole Chaser will solve that problem. I had a serious mole problem for years until I purchased this product. I installed 3 on about 3/4 acre around my house and the moles disapeared within 2 weeks. The batteries last a about 5 months."

"This item seems to work. I leave it in a location for 4 weeks and the moles seem to be gone. I then move it to another location with success. However, you wind up playing cat and mouse with the moles because they move back to where it was before. If you have a big yard, 1 acre, then you may need several of these to be effective."

"I purchased two of the sonic mole chasers. Planted one and waited three weeks with no results. Planted
the other 15 feet away, still with no results. The moles seemed to have doubled. My yard is a mess.
I was very disappointed."

"I bought two of these and installed them. Within the second month I saw signs of mole activity in my yard, worse than that were signs of my two Terriers trying to dig up the moles.
