"If you need an extra piece of clutter for your garage this could be it. I have attempted to use this device to suck up leaves but found it useless. It clogs easily and then you have to take the whole thing off and jam something down it to get the leaves out. I found it easier to rake the leaves into a pile and then vacuum them using the regular snout."

"This works great! I have to collect debris for two lawns and this really gets it all up quickly. Sometimes I'll use a regular blower to get everything in a pile and then use this hose to mulch everything up."

Yard Man Hose Kit For Leaf Vacuum - Shredder,

"This item works very well when the leaves are dry. However, it is hard to manipulate. It is stiff and really stiff now that the temperature has come down approaching cold. It gives you a somewhat small area to work on and you have to move the vacumm - shredder often. I've tried pulling the vacuum - shreder with the hose, but it slides off after a few pulls. The vacuum - shredder creates quite a vacuum at the intake of the hose. Be careful or it will pick up other loose items that the leaves are sitting on. I was surprised when my unit picked up some loose rocks. This made quite a racket since I could not shut off the unit in time before they were sucked into the shredder."

I need a new one!,

"This attachment makes clearing leaves out of the landscaping much easier. I've been using this product for about 5 years and the only complaint I have is that the tube becomes stiff with age and eventually got too stiff to use. Also, I found that the original engine speed governor setting on the chipper to be too slow and the tube would get clogged rather frequently. Once I adjusted the engine speed up (rather substantially) it really does the job a lot better. I highly recommend this attachment for those of us who do our own leaf clean up."

Will this fit an older Model 247103A401

Details:

I have a 12 year old Yardman with capacity for a hose attachment in the front. The model number is 247103A401. Will this hose attachment work for me? It looks like it might, with three front nuts holding it on.
