BAC Industries Bending Brake - 30in. Wide Sheet Capacity, Model# MB-30
Trouble bending 18ga Aluminum
I read all the reviews and thought "hey, I'm bending 18ga aluminum, not steel. If it almost bends 18ga steel, aluminum will be a piece of cake."
I'm bending 24" wide sheets of aluminum, so not at capacity, but I'm not bending little strips either. The machine bows in the middle and the bend isn't consistent. I've been working on how to reinforce the bending bar, but I haven't come up with anything that doesn't interfere with movement yet.
I have actually been able to do what I need to do. It was inexpensive. It does clamp to the table and I can store it in it's box where it is about 6"x2"x30", which is great.
I am not going out to buy another brake. I am not going to recommend this brake, but I will admit that the price was right and I am getting my job done.

Way too flimsy
If you want to bend anything over 10 " wide this will not work unless it is the lightest gauge material. This is not a very "robust" piece of equipment. Way too flimsy, made from material that bends itself when you are trying to bend something, has a lot of flex in it while trying to bend something. Just a flat waste of money. I had to get some heavy steel angle to reinforce the tool to keep it from flexing in the middle when bending. I would not recommend this to anyone.

My 30in. BAC Industries Bending Brake i bought was a very good investment. It's built very well I was supprised how strong it was, and how nice of a bend that it makes time, after time. It was at my door step in just a matter of a few days, and had very little to assemble. All i had to do was screw on 2 handles and It was ready to go.

Not a good tool
The extruded aluminum frame of this brake is not rigid enough to make good bends. I tried to bend 6" wide 18 GA sheet metal. The brake bent and bowed and made a poor quality bend in the sheet metal. I would suggest that the max gage that this brake can handle is 22 GA. I am not satisfied and will return the product.

My use of this tool is bending aluminum coil, which this does a very satisactory job, this tool is very portable light weight and very easy to carry, my only complaint is I need one that has a longer bed. The bender is manul, does take time to set up though that is expected at this price, works well with light mild steel sheet metal. For what this break is advertised to perform it does well.

FOR SMALLER FABRICATIONS
FOR LITTLE JOBS IT'S EXECELLENT. IT'S COMPACT SIZE ALLOWS EASE OF TRANSPORT. MOUNTED TO A BOARD IT CAN BE CLAMPED TO ANY TRUCK OR TRAILER AND USED AT THE SITE. IT CAN BE ADAPTED TO BEND LARGER RUNS.IF YOU ARE CAREFUL NOT TO OVER BEND ALL AT ONCE. WORK IN SECTIONS AND IT CAN BE A REAL HANDY BREAK FOR REPAIRS TO FASIA AND SOFFET. FOR THE PRICE IT'S WORTH IT!

would not bend auto body sheet metal (18 gauge) to a sharp, straight 90 degrees.
bendig rails tend to bow when pressure is applied.
am going to try to reenfoce rails with angle iron and try again.
