  1. Can it work without the castors?

    My old KARCHER surface cleaner is basically a hydrofoil- it floats up a bit when running. The water pressure raises it to allow it to float. The castors on this unit, although supportive, could inhibit it from getting into tight corners. If I removed the castors, would it still work - floating on the water pressure, or would it bog down, unable to really move w/o the castors?

    1. It is not designed to be used without the casters. Damage may occur to the edge and rotating nozzles.

  3. How does it work on brick pavers?

    1. I used it to clean my brick sidewalks and patio and it worked just fine. Because of dirt or sand in the cracks between pavers you tend to experience some dirty blow-back, but the housing contains most of it. That dirty blow-back would certainly be much worse if just using a spray wand.

  6. What is the distance from the bottom of the washer tip to the surface being washed with the 16" surface cleaner?

    1. after using this unit for the concrete pool surround in my back yard, it seems to be about 1" or less.

    1. Yes, but be careful, You may need to turn your machine down a bit, as to not tear up the wood.

    1. It should be a sealed bearing, Other wise it would get water in it and not last long at all.

  9. How is the rotor assembly designed? Some of the cheaper ones just use a teflon washer for it to rotate on and it wears out very quickly.

  10. What size is the fitting at the upper end of the hose?

    I will need to know what size the fitting is so that I can mate it to my pressure washer trigger gun or lance, most likely through the use of an adapter.

    1. The fitting on the surface cleaner to hook up to your wand is 22 mm. It will not fit the typical 1/4" wand. If you have a pressure washer and wand purchased from Northern it will fit. I had to remove the 22 mm fitting from the cleaner and screw on a female to female 1/4'" brass fitting and screw my wand directly into the brass fitting. I did just find a 1/4" quick connection that I will use replace the brass fitting and will be easier than trying to screw my wand in to the cleaner.
