    1. This submersible pump has a 1" threaded discharge port. It also includes 3 hose barb adapters for 1/2", 3/4" and 1" hoses, and a threaded garden hose adapter.

    I'll be using it to drain water off a large pool cover.

    1. I just purchased this pump and to my surprise, it came with 4 adapters with one being a garden hose adapter. Plus it has a 1, 3/4, and 1/2 inch barbed hose adapter. This is a great pump for pool covers.

  5. Safe to use for drinking water?

    If I use a drinking water hose is this pump safe to use with drinking water or will it contaminate it somehow?

    1. The instructions say it is not intended for potable water I would not recommend it be used for drinking. I would recommend something intended for potable water. You can use either the pump or the pump and tank units to do this.

    Wondering if this could work for transferring maple sap out of a large cooler for use when making maple syrup

    1. probably not, to thick of substance will clog the pump

    1. Very easy to remove both the outer screen and to have access to inside. Each uses the same Phillips head screws. Easy to clean.

    1. light duty 5-7 years ,heavy duty ,you might get 3-5 years. all i have my pumps is for water or soap and water ,and is considered light duty in my mind and my first pump i bought is this pump and i love it cause i am still using it after 7 years
