Ironton Steel Hitch-Mounted 4-Bike Rack - 120-Lb. Capacity
Unless you get 2 bikes to fit under 1 clamp they don't hold down well and to get 2 bikes under 1 clamp is difficult since they are so close together. Also not good for womans bikes you must need the accessory which costs almost as much as the rack

Low Cost 2 inch hitch Bike Rack
For the price and built, it is hard to find a better 2 inch hitch bike rack out there (online and local). Easy to assemble though it did not come with washers, I added washers to all ends of nut and bolt connections just for added strength. Since it has a slight play on the hitch, I lined it with 1/8 thick magnetic strips. It has dramatically minimized the vibration/rattle. This unit feels solidly made.

Ironton bike rack
Great bike rack. It does what it is supposed to do and is by far the cheapest rack I've seen anywhere. Why would you spend hundreds of dollars when you could get one of these?

heavy duty worked great. only problem my wifes girls bike had to be put on upside down because only had one support bar to clamp on. once clamped on bikes felt like part of carrier. drove 2400 miles and were just as secure as when we started.

Good Value for the Price
This product was very easy to assemble. The materials feel solid; however, when you put 4 bikes on it, it isn't as stable as I would have expected it to be. I highly doubt that the product will fail or come apart, there is just more movement within the components than I like. But, for the price, it is sufficient.

Excellent carrier for the price
Excellent product for the price. I thought assembly was very simple. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is I think the bike holders should be spaced a little bit further apart. I carried three bikes for a couple hundred miles and found I now have an issue with one of the brakes. the bikes were too close.
I used duct tape around potential rub spots (to keep paint from rubbing off) and bungee cords to keep the bikes from rattling.

Ironton Steel Hitch-Mounted 4-Bike Rack - 120-Lb.
I purchased the Bike Rack, put it together in no time and used it for our Montain Vacation. The Bike Rack was so easy to put together, all you need is a socket set and a wrench. It is that easy. You receive everything pictured at Northern Tool. A great buy!

Ironton bike carrier
The bike carrier is solid and well built. Easily assembled. Fits well into the receiver. It shakes a bit when loaded down but that hasn't affected the integrity of the carrier. Although it can carry 4 bikes, it is a bit crowded and the bikes can bump together. The frame bracket works best with an angular frame. I prefer to use the extension to carry two bikes. However all things considered, for the price point it is a very good and sturdy carrier. No regrets.

2 little tricks for easy assembly
Many mention bolt #12. It's not too long, and it's the only bolt that is only tightened enough to fill the nut, so bolt is level with the end of the nut. This bolt allows the arm to swing away from the tailgate, tighten too much no swing. The biggest bolt needs to only be tightened enough, so that the arm can swing away from tailgate. The instructions say tighten all bolts fully, don't. If you do not want the arm to swing, then just tighten all bolts all the way, put a couple of washers on #12 and you're done. Bolts only fit the correct holes so installation is almost foolproof with knowledge of the 2 mentioned issues. I have an Explorer with the smaller hitch and Northern sells an adapter for this situation. The adapter is very well made. I was fortunate that both items were on sale and made this a great value.

good for money
assembly was mostly clear, somewhat confusing where one bolt went. It is is solid and holds bikes securely. Ability to fold it down is helpful. Overall, a good value.
