One the Roughneck Folding Aluminum Hand Truck the wheels are built like the wheels on a push type lawn mower and the tires can not be replaced.

How is the load capacity determined? I need to carry boxes that are twice the depth of the tow plate, which would put quite a strain on the unit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DJDon Ups and downs I bought this Hand Truck from Northern Tool about a year ago and was extremely pleased with it to start. I am a pro DJ and move equipment on a weekly basis and the max weight I put on it is my speakers about 65 LBS. When going down stairs the locking bar catches the edge of the stair and releases allowing the wheels to be un-locked. The rubber handles slip up. I have worn this hand truck out and it will not close or open now. I do plan on buying another one because the pros out weigh the cons in my opinion. November 8, 2016

I've nearly worn it thin dragging it up stairs with a load. The only other issue are the rubber grips easily slip off when pulling a load. Otherwise, I've been very pleased. The platform is large enough to carry my typical load of cased wines. November 6, 2016
