NorthStar Towable Boom Broadcast and Spot Sprayer - 26 Gallon, 2.2 GPM, 12 Volt
I have a 3 lot home. Lots of pine straw beds that weeds love to grow in. I was able to keep the landscaping and lawn weed free and do a family members yard also!! Saves huge amounts of time and energy compared to a pump sprayer. Attached hand wand is very convenient for spot-treatment. I would buy this sprayer again.
No damage out of the box. Easy to assemble. Good instructions and mixing guide. Pump power cord hooked to the mower perfectly. Easy to turn on and off. Unit is sturdy enough for most usage. I'm looking forward to weed control and fertilizing for the first time ever!!

Great, but follow the maintenance instructions
Bought in August 2012, used 2 times that fall for spraying long driveway, and again twice this spring and summer for driveway and lawn. Worked flawlessly. Love that each sprayer has separate on-off controls, as sometimes I want one side or the other but not both. Make sure to follow cleaning and winterizing instructions -- cleaning after use, and run RV antifreeze through the system to winterize. Agree with comments that wheels are a bit flimsy, but no problem so far.

Wheel bearings blew out second time used. Not heavy enough for full tank. Hard to find 3/4 bore wheels to fit to replace. Sprayer needs heavier guage wheels.

Good sprayer, bad wheels...
I use this sprayer to fertilize my 15 acre hay field. I can't use a big tractor, because the field stays too wet in the spring (Oregon, you know...) Fully loaded with 26 gallons of water, the sprayer weighs over 200 pounds. Any rough terrain soon breaks the weak weld that holds the wheel bearings to the hub and the bearings are soon destroyed. I fixed it by buying two wheels that are used on lawn tractors. These wheels use a greased bushing rather than bearings, so they can take a lot of punishment. I had to buy a new axel, as well, as the one provided was too short for the wider wheels. It also required a spacer on the inside of the wheel to keep it from rubbing on the sprayer platform. I like the sprayer, but would recommend it only with the warning that the wheels probably would have to be replaced.

I bought this sprayer after a lot of web research. It took about 1 hour to assemble this by myself. I didnt connect the hand sprayer because I dont need one.
I put it to immediate use applying a herbicide to about 1.2 acres. It worked great ! The only thing I need to "calibrate" is the correct speed for the application amount per acre.

works good, but
This was pretty easy to assemble, and did a great job, but, the tires went flat immediately. We had to purchase solid rubber tires to get the first spraying done, we have about 7 acres to spray. After winterizing and putting away for the season, we brought it out this spring and 2 major leaks, the wand and the T valve. Northern did a wonderful job in getting us the replacement parts, under warrenty, and their customer service is fantastic. That alone would make us recommend them and their products.

great quality at a fair price
I bought this sprayer to help manage my 5 acre home. It has worked great so far. It was easy to assembly and feels reasonably sturdy. With proper care it should last for years.

This has been a great product. I use it to spray all the streets (curbs and parking areas) in our HOA. I pull it behind my motorcycle. It has been maintenance free. It just plain works and is economical.

NO Quality Control
Things that are good:
It's cute, nice sized and the principle works.
Tank size is just right for my 2 acres.
Value is decent except quality (see below)
Things that are bad:
The cheapest rubber tires I have ever seen. Fill them full of air and they bulge out like a growth. I filled the tank and after maybe 100' of travel one tire fell apart and shreded and the other leaded down and won't hold air. What the heck is up with this garbage ?
The wand fell off and broke in the grass as did the want clip from the tank screw that fell out. If the quality control was better this would be a nice machine.
I have a call into Northern to see how they will stand up to the product. I've only had it 3 weeks and only used it once and it fell apart. Northern ?

We have borrowed one of these and decided to buy one of our own. We are pleased with it so far, since we bought it a couple of months ago. Excellent for a couple of acres.
