NorthStar ATV Broadcast and Spot Sprayer - 16 Gallon, 2.2 GPM, 12 Volt
Good value sprayer
Good, well designed tank. 70psi pump which you need. Fittings out of the pump are flimsy; be careful there. Wiring with alligator clips and switch are included. Tie down straps included. Spray wand is adequate; preference would be for a brass valve and wand for durability. The spray wand for attachment to the back for broadcast spraying is very flimsy; weakly connected to the tank. This rig is not industrial strength, but ok for homeowner

Easy to setup, works great for my lonely one acre. I mounted to the back of my lawn tractor hooked up to the battery and sprayed away. Has an impressive spray distance.

This is a good sprayer for the price. I have a one acre yard and the broadcast sprayer worked great as well as the handheld. I have put out herbicide and fertilizer with it and I am happy with the product. The parts were simple to assemble with basic tools. My only regret is that I didnt get the 26 Gallon tank.

Ease of use
Ordered online and service and delivery were excellent. The sprayer has cut my spraying time by 50%.Have had zero problems with the sprayer. It is everything that it is advertised to be. Quality is excellent.

This is the second sprayer I have had and it is by far the best, it has a lot of spraying power, so I don't have to make so many runs, down our yard. It is easy to use and easy to set up. Great product!!!

Very good but could be better
First off, the user manual that this sprayer comes with says its a pesticide sprayer and makes no mention of herbicides. However the advertising on this site says " approved for use with Roundup" which IS an herbicide. So I don't know if it matters in the end, but it is worth mentioning. The manual does mention it can be used to spray other "non-flammable" liquids.
I have two of these sprayers. One is a small spot sprayer and this one with the "boom" nozzle. Both could benefit by having a "well" or "sump" cast in the plastic base for the suction strainer. It is virtually impossible to get the last 1/2 gallon of liquid out of these tanks as the pump loses suction as it begins to draw air. With a small recess of only 1"-2" deep, all the liquids could be pumped out through the nozzle.
As far as operational application goes, this sprayer works well. Both the boom and spot applications seem to apply liquids as advertised. The spot sprayer is rather coarse and strong. Its not that good for light spraying but does the big jobs well. My smaller spot sprayer (10 gallon model) works better for light applications. Be prepared to use a lot of spray when using the "boom" nozzle. This pump and nozzle has a heavy output and will go through a lot of material in a hurry.
It comes with tie down straps which are essentially motorcycle tie downs. They seem of good quality but would be more effective if they had elastic built into the straps to keep constant tension on the tank.
This IS a good unit and works well. Just know it has a few limitations.

16 Gallon Sprayer
This sprayer rocks!!!!!!!!!!!! We sprayed six acres all in one day and got mosquitoes killed, bugs sprayed, trees sprayed, thistles killed, gardened sprayed, and all the trim and out building in 4 hours time. We ran out of things to spray. Lots of pressure and a good volume of spray. Puts a one gallon hand sprayer to shame. Broadcast sprayer worked great and was easy to assemble and attach to 4 wheeler. Would recommend to a friend. We have been putting off buying one for years and wish we would of a long time ago. Great buy!!!

Great sprayer, I've used it twice with no problems. however most ATV batteries are under the seat so using the supplied battery clips isn't an option. Using the supplied wire harness I cut off the clips and used battery terminal lugs to connect then mounted a weather tight toggle switch on the speedometer bezel & left enough wire under seat to just plug into sprayer, when not is use, wire is stored under seat in storage compartment. The harness is also non-fused so I also added an in-line fuse.
