1. MTF300TBA is a dual fuel heater which operates on either propane or natural gas.
2. MTF300TBA-B is a tri-fuel heater which in addition to operating on propane or natural gas, comes with a built in electric powered heater.

Does this heater run constantly, or does it turn off/on

Details:

How many heat settings LOW - MEDIUM - HIGH? I purchsed 2 pro com heaters, but with a power loss heaters never restarted.

Answers

The heater has a built in thermostat. When the thermostat is set properly the unit should kick on and off to keep the temperature at what you have set the room for. To do this when you light the heater you will turn the knob all the way up on high. Let the heater run until the room reaches the temperature you want. You will then turn the knob down until the unit kicks off. This will set the thermostat to come on and off the keep the room at that temperature.

This heater that I purchased came with a dial control know from numbers 1 thru 5. I have mine set on #2 and it heats my apartment to 76 degreesin a half hour and then turns itself off. It's perfect!

The blower is fairly quiet. It is just a small fan that will produce a low humming noise when it is on. It does not have a decibel rating.

It does make some noise but not enough to interfere with the TV. I did use some silicone lube to the fan to quite it down after 3 months of use.

Outstanding Performance This pro-com wall mount heater is the best heater for use in a basement or a garage. Sure you need to measure the width of the area it needs to heat, but once you get that done this heater will save you so much money on your energy bill. I installed it in one of my basement apartments that is always cool, and was very cold in the winter because of the cement floors. Once I measure the size and got the correct BTU's, it heated this large apartment from 48 degrees to 76 degree's in a half hour and then shut itself down. This was absolutely perfect! I couldn't have asked for a better heater when I purchased this from Northern Tool. The price was definitely reasonable and worth it. April 23, 2013

ProCom Trifuel 25,000 BTU Heater I use this heater to help heat my 3900 sf house. The heater works well it does not get as hot as the 5 plate infrared heater but it also does not seem to dry out the air as fast. It seems to use less natural gas than my 5 plate infrared heater , but it does not warm the room up as well. I like the heater it maybe safer to use around small children it runs all day with the setting on 2 and above and it keeps the room temperature between 72-74 degrees. I like the built in squirrel cage blower to help move the heat around the room. It has some noise but not loud enough to interrupt the TV. I really like these ProCom heaters they really save you a lot of money on your gas bill I use only two of these heaters to heat my whole house in the winter. Last 2 natural gas bills Jan2013, $119 Feb2013, $202 March 6, 2013
