OREGON PowerNow 40V Max* Cordless Electric Chain Saw - 14in. Bar, 2.4Ah B400E 40V MAX* Lithium Ion Battery, Model# CS250E
Just what I needed.
I only need a chain saw on limited bases. Just plug the battery in and go. For me the battery had enough life to
do what was needed. I used it every week. Before I put things off because of the pain of messing with small amounts of gas and oil.

I bought this saw because I'm tired of gas chainsaws that will not start. I have a small farm and always have trees to trim and fences to clean. I always considered battery tools to be wimpy, but the 40V battery is a solution. I love this saw. When I climb into a tree, I don't have to pull a cord to start the saw. It's always ready. The battery is long lasting. The onboard chain sharpener is a great feature. Very happy with this and will never buy another gas chainsaw.

Love this saw
I've had the Oregon 40V chainsaw for two weeks now. It's a bit pricey for a retiree like me, so I mulled it over for about four months before deciding to bite the bullet. Having used it quite a bit now, I am extremely pleased with my decision. It cuts beautifully and is surprisingly powerful. I also purchased a second battery, as well as a Rapid Charger which recharges a battery completely in 30 minutes. (Northern Tools doesn't carry the Rapid Charger, so I had to order from another vendor.) Battery charge lasts about 30 minutes of fairly constant cutting, so the extra battery/charger work perfectly for me. It's probably not suitable for downing large trees, but for my 4' to 8' trees it's working great for me.

Oregon Electric Chain Saw
First of all I am a 71 year old disabled person who cannot get up and down or kneel for very long. This chain saw is a blessing to me. It is a superb piece of machinery that is light weight, easy to use and very powerful for an electric chain saw. It is surprising simple to take apart and clean also. I have used it to cut small trees and limbs up to 8in in diameter with little effort. I was skeptical at first but after using it for several days & only charging the battery once it has made a believer out of me. The thing that really surprised me is that as careful as I was not to dig into the dirt while cutting close to the ground I slipped several times into the ground due to my arthritic hands. The surprise I refer to is that in using this chain saw for 3 days and even cutting into dirt I have not had to use the automatic sharpener yet. You folks have come up with a real winner. As far as I'm concerned there are no cons for this piece of equipment. The pros are, light weight, easy of use, ready to use when you are & exceptionally powerful. I apologize for the long review but it was necessary to get my point across. I just wish you would make a 40v extendable limb saw also. I have let my neighbor try it and he was also very impressed. Thank you for making this wonderful product.
