This wall panel convection heater is not intended for hardwire installation. It's equipped with a 6.5' power cord with a standard 2 prong 120 volt plug.

There is no thermostat on this heater. The heater must be manually turned on and off with a switch on the side of the unit.

This Econo-heat wall panel is intended for use in a home. Using it in a storage building where a lawn mower and gas can are kept should be okay provided that there are no leaks in either the gas can or the lawn mower gas tank/fuel line system and the gas caps are tight. Fumes from gasoline are highly flammable though so it is probably advisable to err on the side of caution if any question of integrity of the gasoline containment in either the can or the mower should exist. Gas caps would need to be checked regularly.

Answers

This heater requires 6" of clearance from the floor. The manufacturer also recommends mounting 12" from any window or door for maximum efficiency. The heater can be mounted to just about any material as long as it is structurally sound enough for anchors to grab and support the heater.
