Performance Right Out of the Gate
Complete and Ready to Go
This impressive welding package comes complete with everything you need: built-in MIG gas solenoid valve, dual-gauge regulator, gas hose, 10ft. work lead, 8in. wire spool adapter and more. Add the optional SpoolRunner 100 spoolgun (Item# 20868, sold separately) to make aluminum welding easier than ever!
Easy Setup
Setup is a breeze with this unit and once you're ready to go, the Handler 210MVP is capable of running flux core steel, solid and aluminum wire — a versatility that's hard to beat.
Versatility is Standard Equipment
Power with Portability
Delivering a powerful maximum output of 210 Amps, this unit is still small enough in size to fit in a portable case that makes transporting to job sites or anywhere else you need to weld so much easier.
Choose Your Voltage
Superb versatility is one feature that gives this welder its MVP status! The multi-voltage plug allows the welder to be powered by either 115V or 230V power, giving you all the juice you'll need to weld 24ga. to 3/8in. steel in a single pass.
Match Your Project with Adjustable Settings
Choose from 7 different voltage settings at 230V, or 4 voltage settings at 115V. Then take advantage of enhanced magnetics and infinite wire feed speed control. You'll end up with fine output control that allows for improved arc performance with less spatter, and that means great-looking beads with less cleanup.
One Drive Roll, Two Sizes
The dual-groove, quick-change drive roll makes it super quick and easy to change from one wire size to another. The unit has one knurled groove as well as one smooth groove, allowing it to hold 2 different wire sizes at the same time. Choose from 0.030–0.035in. (0.8–0.9mm) wire sizes.
Aluminum Welding Made Easy
Integrated spoolgun control circuitry is standard with this welder, so no additional control box or adapter is required to connect the optional SpoolRunner 100 spoolgun (Item# 20868, sold separately). This easy-to-setup spoolgun enhances wire feedability and reduces the hassles and frustrations of bird-nesting that often occur with soft aluminum wires.
A Tidy Solution
At-the-Ready Storage Area
Keep organized with a handy storage area that's built right into the welder cabinet, making it quick and easy to stow away or access spare contact tips, nozzles and drive rolls.
The Settings Are at Your Fingertips
No more fumbling through manuals and delaying your start while trying to find the correct initial welding settings. A handy door chart offers quick reference to all the wire, gas, material and thickness settings you need. It's the perfect quick starting point for novices and professionals alike.
Built for Lasting Performance
High-Output Duty Cycle
With 25–140 Amperage output at 115V, and 25–210 Amperage output at 230V, this welder delivers a 30% duty cycle @ 130 Amps. That's more than enough to offer the power and welding performance you need to make your efforts ultra-productive.
Smooth Wire Feeds
The durable feed head features a quick-release drive roll tension lever that helps to deliver positive wire feed with adjustable tension control. The easily accessible system also makes threading new wire a breeze.
It's As Safe and Easy As Pulling the Trigger
The built-in contactor makes this welder very easy to operate and improves safety by keeping the wire electrically "cold" until the spoolgun trigger is pulled.
This Drive System Goes the Extra Mile
Rugged is the perfect word to describe the Handler 210MVP's drive system. Manufactured from tough industrial cast aluminum, you can rest assured that this unit is built for extended durability.
Safety is Built Right In
A self-resetting thermal overload system protects the unit in the toughest applications, while short circuit protection guards against current overload. You also get self-resetting motor protection, which protects against wire feed overload, effectively eliminating the need to change fuses or reset circuit breaker buttons.
Weld with Quality and Confidence That's Made in the U.S.A.

For 230v what size breaker would i need? Also what gauge wire do i need to run?
-
Donut5000· 14 years ago
Two pole 30 amp breaker. 8/2 wire with ground if running more than 25'.
Helpful?
-
HardwaterJoe· 14 years ago
You will need a 2 pole 30 Amp breaker to run this machine. This will require 10 gauge wiring. With this in mind, if you are going to make a long(25'+) extension cord and run the welder at max amperage extensively, I would make the cord with 8 gauge wire. This will help prevent any possible voltage drop issues.

ProductExpert12· 14 years ago
Being the Hobart Handler 210MVP will draw 24 amps at 230 volts, a 30 amp circuit breaker would be recommended. For the gauge of wire needed, may we suggest contacting a local electrician due to local codes required.

What are the true exterior dimensions?
I want to upgrade from my Handler 140 to the 210MVP and I want to make sure the MVP will fit in my current welding cart.

oldcooter60· 8 years ago
it is 11 inches wide 19 inches long and 12.5 inches tall it hangs out the front of my cart some, but does not bother me.i had to put a thin piece of plywood in my cart so the door on the side would open without having to pick the welder up.

Hi! For general mig welding of mild steel I use a quality brand .035" ER70S-6 solid core wire with shielding gas.For gas I prefer the argon/carbon dioxide mixture with the regulator set around 25 CFH.If there is any amount of wind where you weld, you're probably better off using flux core wire with no gas.A good one is .035" lincoln Innershield NR-211-MP.Always choose a good quality welding wire for best results!
