Ohio Steel Core Plug Aerator - 42in. Working Width, Model# 42CPA
I became considered when I saw the package. It was shrink wrap and the box was torn. I had several missing pieces. I called immediately to order the missing pieces which arrived quickly. After one use the wheel broke off.

Ohio Steel 42in Plug Aerator
This is a good aerator for light duty work. The aerator was easy to assemble and the instructions are easy to follow. It's light enough that one person can connect it to your garden tractor with little effort. This is a great unit for use on an established yard, but not heavy enough for hard ground even when weighted. If you're looking for and easy to use aerotor for medium to soft ground, this one would be a good choice.

don't waste your cash on this
Don't be fooled by the name Ohio steel. this isn't made in the USA. When I received the box it was covered with a lot of tape. I opened it up, and nuts bolts and washers were scattered every where, and missing nuts bolts and washers, forcing a trip to the hardware store ,just to put it together. I will be amazed if it last 2 or 3 years.

Easy to assemble, load it up with whatever you have for weight and go pluggin! Works great. Just would like one more pin to hold the lever wheels up.

The aerator was very easy to assemble. Most of the smaller items were pre-assembled and the instructions were easy to read and understand.
All of the parts were easy to identify and there were no missing parts.
Overall - This a high quality product.

No instruction included
Buyer beware. Traveled over an hour to buy this product at a local store. Had to go back to the store the next day to get the instructions to assemble. Not included in the box.

OH Steel 42in Plug Aerator - 42CPA
This is my first experience with an aerator and this unit worked as promised. Putting it together was pretty easy and the directions are easy to understand. It should take the average person 45-60 minutes to assemble. It seems to be pretty sturdy especially if it is only going to get used a couple of times a year anyway. The only thing that I see that would ever need to be replaced are the spikes and there are no springs on them as I had read about others having. I have only aerated the lawn one time so far but it worked very well with no issues. I would definately recommend this product.
