Answers

On this TowZone 12in. Electric Drum Brake Kit, they will come with stickers marking left and right. The left/drivers side is red with an L and the Right/ passenger side is green with a R. When mounted the wire will exit the backing plate behind the axle.

I am buying a new axle with only spindles on it. Does this kit include all that I need to add brakes to an axles on the trailer side?

I am buying a new axle from the trailer manufacturer and I want to add electric brakes. The axle only has the spindles...will this kit work?

Answers

An axle that's being used along with electric brakes, must have a brake flange in order to attach and support the brake system. You will also need a brake controller to complete an electric brake system. Please look below for a recommended brake controller and an example of a spindle and brake flange combination.

We do not currently offer a 12" electric brake kit with a 5 bolt pattern. Northern does sell a 10" kit in a 5 lug, 4-1/2" bolt circle. See link below.
