The General Tool Articulating Wireless Data Logging Video Borescope is ideal for aircraft maintenance, machinery and production line inspection, petrochemical and power plant inspection, general MRO and facility management. One-handed articulation function allows user to turn the probe tip to inspect targets located at sides or at an angle while it is in a tight space. Wireless unit can be operated anywhere without a cable and can transmit images almost 800 feet to a larger screen. Turning knob and lock button are ergonomically designed to offer one-handed easy control to the probe tip to view targets from the ideal angle.

I need to be able to see at least 3 feet from the camera location, Will objects at this distance be in focus and illuminated in total darkness.

Visabilty in low light areas

Details:

I am a pressure vessel inspector and will be working in low light areas and am wondering how well the screen will be visable in dark areas? Also, is the wireless transfer to a larger monitor available while the hand held is in use or does the hand held turn off to send the signal to the larger monitor? I am assuming the longer probe leads are available for this unit as well?

Answers

The DCS1800ART scope should be able to see approximately 6” in very dark conditions, further if there is other light. The receiving screen can easily attach to a larger monitor (TV) with the cord in real time so you can watch what you are doing. The wireless will travel about 30 feet from the sending probe. The manufacturer does offer a 2 and 3 meter articulating probe, but these are available only as an accessory, they are not extensions. The P18ART-2SM (6.6 feet) and the P18ART-3SM (9.8 feet). These also have 6mm diameter heads.
