For the once a year person only
i burned through 2 of these in 4 months, however not the fault of the equipment mind you, this is NOT a professional setup, buffing out a boat can be a long and tedious process and this poor thing just doesn't have what it takes, however I do still have 1 as a back up in case my more professional one goes down, and I do use this one for polishing some cars.... but please keep in mind for the money its good to have around just in case..., DO NOT USE on a full boat de-oxidizing sand and polish.... anything else is open for working on to my knowledge.....

Klutch Sander/Polisher - 11 Amp, 7in.
This a great tool for the price. I especially like the light weight, variable speed and slow start revolution feature which allows the polishing compound to be evenly spread. The 2 year warranty is a real plus. I have use it with great success on cars, fiberglass boats and fiberglass tub/shower encloses. I much prefer this over my other polisher which is much heaver and twice the price

Buffed out wet sanding marks from my auto paint
I bought this polisher to buff out wet sanding mark that was about 5" wide and 12 feet long, along the entire length of my Expedition. The cost of this polisher was less than cost of it having it done in a shop. Using a buffing compound and buffing pad, I got it all off. The polisher performed well, but pushed down for extra pressure the speed dropped more than expected; however, at the high setting of 6, it was still good fast enough.

Great Buffer
I have one these buffers that Klutch made under the Northern Tool name. I know I have color sanded and buffed at least 6 cars with it, and componded another at least six more. The buffer is still holding up I would not hesitate to buy another one.

7" Sander/polisher
I work on a race team, thats races on dirt. When the car comes in after the heat race the tires need to be ground or sanded if you wish. This is done to remove glaze and grind "gripping edges" on to the tire. In the past I have used a grinder that was single speed. The Klutch grinder polisher allows me more control over how I resurface the tires, because of the varible speeds. I also like using the disk with the "velcro" because it saves time switching from one grit of paper to another.

Klutch polisher
This polisher sounded great.Variable speed, etc. Unfortunately it has no torque and very little power.Very weak and slows to a grind at any pressure.
Very sad piece of equipment. Save your money$#$$

quality for a great price
I recently purchased this for the purpose of a buffer mostly. When I received it and took it out of the box I was impressed with the quality.. It actually weighed more than I anticipated - which to me, meant it was more metal than plastic. I've been using it and its great. It will do any project I should get into.. great price - great quality...

7" Car Polisher
I have been looking for a Car Polisher for months now, this included all the home chain stores. I was not willing to pay the rather large amount of chash they wanted for the brand name ones. I out of the blue decided to try Nothern Tool and when I saw they had a 7" Polisher that was almost twice the Amprage for half the price I ordered one. This Polisher works awesome and does not bog down at all. I like the speed adjustmet and the secure feel when using it, it gets my vote of confidence.

Awesome polisher at a very affordable price
I was looking for something that had sanding as well as polishing capabilities without the high price of the often advertised ones, and I stumbled across the Klutch Sander/Polisher. My project was a big one so I needed something that would hold up at least until the job was finished. A 24' pontoon with 22" toons desperately needed cleaning up. I was totally impressed with the results from the Klutch 11amp sander, and the velcro pad made switching applicators a snap. Before use, the toons were black and brown and looked as though they were all rusted up. Take a look at the after shot and judge for yourself! The Klutch is still going strong too!

Great Buffer
For the money this buffer can't be beat. I purchased a cheaper buffer from a competitor at a lower price. It lasted one fender. I am color sanding and buffing a new paint job. It is light enough to use without quickly fatiguing your arms. The speeds are good from spreading the compound to buffing it to a gloss. For the do-it-yourselfer, this is a very good machine. I highly reccommend it.
