ProCom Dual Fuel Vent-Free Blue Flame Garage Heater - 30,000 BTU, Model# MD300TGA
I purchased this unit to replace the infrared electric heater in our office. A 10,000 b.t.u. unit would of been enough for the offices and bathroom. But I went with the larger unit instead because it was a better buy and I didn't want a smaller furnace running all the time. I installed it in the main office and installed vents thru the walls so it heats a bathroom and mechanical room as well.(The manual will show you how to do this) Even when it got into the teens my office stayed a toasty 75 degrees and the bathroom was probably around 60-65. I keep this heater on the lowest setting and with the optional blower it really works nice. It works so well that my shop stays around 50 degrees so I don't have to run the two large tube heaters in the 3,600 sq. ft. shop area either. So I basically heat my whole place with this unit and my natural gas bill has been about $30 a month. Very please with this unit and it's efficiency.

Very good heater
More heat than I expected. Most of the unit stays fairly cool to the touch. The only issue I have is with the optional fan. Not a lot of space behind the heater for it to draw from and you would expect more flow out of it.

I PURCHASED A NATURAL GAS HEATER FOR MY SHOP, REPLACING A 230VAC ELECTRIC WHICH WAS NOISEY AND INEFFICIENT. I WAS NOT OPTIMISTIC THAT THIS LITTLE GUY COULD DO THE TRICK BUT IT HAS WORKED GREAT FOR THE PAST YEAR. I'M SATISFIED. TIP: BE SURE THAT YOU CHANGE THE GAS SETTING UNDER THE BACK PANEL TO THE FUEL TYPE YOU'LL BE USING.

Great heater for 2 stall garage.
I have an insulated 2 stall garage. I installed this heater on the back wall running a propane line from a 100lb LP tank using the mr heater 11 - 14wc(2lbft) regulator.
I was able to figure out what I needed from the product description and Q&A. (however you should not put a product placement in the Q&A with a product it does not work with *mr heater thermostat*)
The high today is 20*F outside. I leave the heater on setting 1 and it keeps my 22x24 attached garage at about 50* F
If I kick up the thermostat it can easily heat my garage to 70 + degrees.
I would recommend using this in conjunction with a wall mounted fan, or the blower in order to move the heat around a little better.

Complete junk !
This heater is complete garbage, failed after one season. The only thing worse than this product is Pro-Com's complete lack of customer service, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heat in a snap!
I purchased this item when my furnace went out and needed to heat my house for a cold Minnesota weekend (forecast = low of -22 and high of -2). It was easy to set up and I didn't even need to run out for any pieces. Just bought it with the accessories; blower, legs and adapter hose. My 1200 sq. ft house went from 50 to 75 degrees in 12 hours. Just set it near the furnace with the fan on.
Best part is, once we get the furnace replaced, I'm installing this bad boy in the garage connected to a thermostat so when I get up on Sat and Sun to work on the Jeep TJ it will be nice and toasty. Then I'll only have to leave the garage when the wife calls me for dinner.

Heats my entire moto shop
Hi, I just installed this yesterday evening in about an hour or so. I have a 24x42 floor space, block construction, insulated 12x17 garage door, with 13.5ft ceiling in my motorcycle shop. This unit heats it very well, in fact write now I have it on the 2 setting to maintain a nice cozy work area and office. After start up I did get some oder for the first 10hrs or so, but now I don't smell anything after 12hrs of running. I rigged my own fan and deflector to direct air downwards. I also have a loft in this shop which is a place for customers to hang out. The loft is very cozy. I would buy another one in a heartbeat!! thanks, :)

Seems to work well. However, has a very annoying high pitched whistle when the burners are turned to full on. Sound goes away at a lower temperature setting on the knob.

Purchased this heater for my garage/workshop of aproximately 800sq ft., heats great even when the temperature is -35 outside. If you purchase this item and have extreeme temps, get the blower, well worth it. No more stoking the fire an hour before trying to work in the shop.
